Just in time for the sunny season, Friendly’s is turning up the heat (and the nostalgia), celebrating 90 years of delicious memories with the launch of its Summer Sizzle Menu, available now through September 30. This limited-time lineup brings back fan-favorite flavors, bold new bites and some particularly jaw-some treats fans have been awaiting the return of!
Back by very popular demand, and after countless social media requests, this wildly popular drink is swimming back onto the menu — the Shark in the Water is a sweet, bubbly ocean-blue mix of Sprite, blue raspberry syrup, gummy sharks and a splash of shark bait for the ultimate summer sip and fruity bite. Also making a splash is the Shark Fribble, our famous vanilla shake turned deep-sea treat with gummy sharks swimming in blue raspberry waves and drizzled with shark bait.
Of course, no Friendly’s summer is complete without some Northeastern coastal classics — and this year, not one, but two Lobster Rolls are making a return. Choose between Maine Style with creamy lobster salad, celery and crisp lettuce, or the Connecticut Style, served warm with a side of melted butter — both on a grilled roll with golden fries.
The Lobster & Shrimp Quesadilla is another big summer hit — and Friendly’s is sweetening the deal with exclusive rewards for Fan Club members. On June 15, celebrate National Lobster Day with $3 off Lobster menu items. Then, on the first day of summer (June 20), kick things off with a free scoop of ice cream — cone or dish — available in-store or for carry out. And mark your calendars for July 3, for a specialty National Fried Clam Day deal.
To top it all off, cool down with the new dessert menu, including indulgent sundaes like the Salted Caramel Popcorn Sundae, Salted Pretzel PB Crunch or the rich Mocha Chocolate Cookie Sundae.
